KAI takes pride in providing competitive compensation and benefit programs including the following:
Insurance
Health: KAI offers comprehensive medical (HMO/PPO), dental and vision coverage on a pre-tax basis to regular employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Eligible employees may also elect coverage for their dependents and domestic partners.
Life and AD&D: KAI provides employees with basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance equal to two times an employee’s earnings up to a maximum of $500,000.
Disability: In the event of an injury or illness, long-term disability insurance is available to eligible regular employees as well as partial salary continuation.
Financial Programs
401(k) Savings & Investment Plan: Regular employees are eligible to participate in KAI’s investment program immediately upon hire by investing their pre-tax income into a variety of investment funds offered through the Company’s 401(k) Savings plan.
Flexible Spending Accounts: Regular employees are eligible to set aside pre-tax income for out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses.
Employee Stock Option Plan: Regular employees are eligible to receive incentive stock option awards.
Time Off Benefits
Paid Time Off: Regular employees have the flexibility to manage their time off from work through a Paid Time Off account which includes sick, vacation and personal time. Individuals initially may accrue up to 20 days per year.
Holidays: Regular employees are provided with 10 paid holidays per calendar year.
KAI reserves the right to amend or terminate any of the benefit plans described, for any reason, in accordance with the provisions of such plans. The amount and availability of all benefits are determined by the benefit plans’ legal documents. In the case of dispute between the information set forth above and the plan’s legal documents, the plan’s legal documents will govern.
